Mobile Suit Gundam follows the exploits of Amuro Ray and his friends and colleagues aboard the White Base, a flying fortress that serves as their home, as they engage in various missions against the Principality of Zeon. Half a century has passed since the world's population began migrating to massive orbiting space colonies. All is not well, however, as a group of colonies furthest from the planet proclaims itself the Principality of Zeon and declares war on Earth.
